In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Newest Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery." This playful quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature skills: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns.
